6/17/10 – 9/12/10 Blue Whales, some as long as 100 feet and weighing up to 190 tons, are being sighted 9 to 30 miles off San Diego’s coast. H&M Landing, in partnership with the San Diego Natural History Museum, has created a series of Blue Whale Cruises from San Diego Bay. The opportunity to view these offshore giants is available on a limited number of trips this summer. H&M Landing’s Blue Whale Cruises will run each Thursday and Sunday from June 17 – September 12. The 6 hour cruise departs at 10 AM and returns at 4 PM. Cruises include commentary and interpretation by the Museum’s trained volunteer staff of shipboard naturalists. 12/12/09 – 4/04/10 Whale & Dolphin watching on Hornblower is a once in a lifetime experience in San Diego. Enjoy narration from Captains and Naturalists trained by the San Diego Natural History Museum. You’ll get a free tour of north San Diego and see the sea lions that live below the lighthouse at Point Loma.
